Project – Gympie – Main St Bud Lighting

Throughout the Main Street of Gympie Queensland there are a number of alfresco dining options. This allows the locals and tourists alike to enjoy outdoor entertainment. Covering the large trees along the street are a number of lighting displays creating a vibrant and peaceful setting.

Greenplate® were tasked with providing a power solution to light up the trees. 

The biggest issue Gympie Regional Council were facing was having to dig up the road and traffic islands to gain power which would have caused major disruptions.

However, Greenplate® were able to design Solar Poles which housed the batteries and controller. The solar modules were installed on top giving the look of a normal Solar Street Light. The cable was then directed from the pole to the lights in the trees therefore lighting up Main Street, Gympie. 

This enabled a cost effective solution for council to be able to provide the decorative tree lighting for the shire.

Greek Style Burgers

 

Greek Style Burger
Ingredients
  • 1 x tip top Wholemeal English muffin toasted rubbed with 1/2 garlic clove
  • 1 batch of my pattie recipe made into 4 patties
  • 1/2 red capsicum + 1/2 yellow capsicum
  • Rocket & Spinach Leaves
Topping Sauce
  • 99 % fat free yoghurt
  • mixed with fresh flat leaf parsley
  • lemon zest, salt & Pepper mixed together
Burger Mix
  • 500 gms Chicken Breast Mince
  • 1 red onion finely diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh flat leaf parsley chopped
  • 1 Tbls fresh mint chopped
  • 1 tsp dry oregano
  • 2 cloves garlic grated
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Salt & Pepper Mixture makes 4 for 0sp
Instructions
  1. Shape patties and cook on hotplate for 4-5 mins each side or until cooked through.
  2. At the same time, brush a little olive oil on the hotplate and cook capsicum.
  3. Rub a little garlic on one side of the muffin and heat on the plate.
  4. Once everything is cooked, assemble.

Pork Medallion Steaks

Pork Medallion Steaks
Pork lean medallion steak with quinoa, broccoli, pomegranate & low fat feta salad.
Ingredients
  • 120 gm lean pork medallion
  • 1 tsp masterfoods tuscan seasoning.
Salad
  • 3/4 cup boiled quinoa
  • 1/2 pomegranate
  • 20 gms low fat feta
  • Head of a small broccoli ‘riced'
Instructions
  1. Pre season pork with 1 tsp master foods Tuscan seasoning - place in container to take to your outing

The Salad
  1. Grate broccoli or pulse in a food processor then steam or microwave for 3 minutes, & seasoned with salt, pepper and fresh roughly chopped flat leaf parsley.

  2. Squeeze the pomegranate juice into the salad to dress it, with a touch of either lemon or fresh orange juice ( about a 1/4 of a piece) add low fat feta.

  3. Add all other ingredients and mix together.

The Pork
  1. Cook pork on hotplate for 5 minutes one side, flip and 2 minutes on the other side.
  2. Plate up pork with salad And drizzle with 1 tsp balsamic.
