Time to Beef It Up with Steak & Mushrooms

Today we are using Beef Rump Medallion with an amazing Mushroom Sauce on our Greenplate® Hotplate – Yummy !

RED MEAT – people don’t eat a lot of it these days preferring Chicken, Fish or the other white meat – pork.

Red meat is a great source of iron. It’s good for your red blood cells and zinc levels. It is also a great source of protein for your bones and muscles. 



Beef Rump Medallion Steak with Mushroom Sauce
  • 1 small punnet mushrooms sliced
  • 1 small clove garlic grated
  • Fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt pepper
  • 2 tbls chicken stock
  • 2 tbls light cream
  1. Heat Greenplates® Hotplate

  2. Add Beef Medallion onto the hotplate and cook

Most average size steaks - for medium cooking - 6/2/2 - 6 minutes | Turn 2 minutes | Turn 2 minutes - but always check to how you like your red meat cooked
  1. When the steak is almost cooked, add mushrooms, garlic, thyme to the hotplate

  2. When your mushrooms have browned up, add salt and pepper, cream and stock

  3. Toss the mushrooms to combine the ingredients and serve over your juicy steak immediately.

Project – New Street Lights for Brisbane CC

Greenplate have recently supplied and installed two new Solar LED Street Lights for Brisbane’s Dog Off Leash Park on the corner of Cavendish Road and Boundary Road at Whites Hill.

These are the latest model of Street Lighting currently offered with the components all incorporated inside the light fitting. Brisbane City Council required a customised operation where the lights had to be turned on at 5:30pm and turned off at 10:30pm. Greenplate therefore installed a timer inside the light head allowing for this application. The light poles were also manufactured with a hinged system. This allows for the Light Head and Solar Module to be easily lowered by one person in the event of maintenance or cleaning.

Greenplate also used the BMSA Anchoring System. This innovative footing system means that no concreate, digging or heavy machinery is required for installation. Allowing for the footing and light pole to be installed in the one day. A big thanks to the guys at BMSA Anchoring Systems for installing these footings on site and we look forward to offering this system in upcoming street lighting projects.

These LED Street Lights will now provide trouble free lighting for the local Brisbane City Council residents to enjoy time with their dogs after dark.

Double Pattie Chicken Burger Deluxe

Let’s Upsize – Go Big or Go Home – Upsizing these days is on everyone’s list, but it is not always the healthy alternative. With our Double Pattie Chicken Deluxe Burger it’s HUGE but good for you – all on a Greenplate® Hotplate!


Double Pattie Chicken Deluxe Burger
The Patties
  • 500 g Chicken Breast mince
  • 2 tsp Masterfood® all purpose seasoning
  • 1 small Onion Diced
  • Salt & Pepper
Inside The Burger
  • Sesame seed bun (60gmweighed
  • 35 gms Sandwich stacker pickles
  • 1 slice Jarlsberg cheese
  • 1 tsp sweet mustard
  • 2 tsp reduced salt/sugar tomato sauce
  • Lettuce
  • Onion
  • Tomato
  1. Mix ingredients together and form 6 patties.
  2. The mixture is very sticky, I wore gloves and wet my hands before shaping.
  3. Spray the hotplate with cooking oil and add the patties to the hotplate

  4. Turn after burger is cooked just over halfway and cook the other side

Assemble The Burger
  1. I cut the cheese in half and stacked it between the 2 patties

  2. Assembling is easy !

    Lettuce - Pattie 1 - cheese - Pattie 2 - Cheese - Tomato - Pickles - Mustard - Sauce - Onions
