Beef Sausages with Garlic Sweet Chilli Capsicums

SUMMER ON A GREENPLATE® BBQ

Beef Sausages with Garlic Sweet Chilli Capsicums
Ingredients
  • 1 pkt reduced fat beef sausages
  • Peppercorn brand or Coles brand
  • 2 x punnets of mini sweet Capsicums sliced in half
  • 2 x medium red onions sliced
  • 1 Tbls olive oil
  • 2 - 3 cloves garlic grated
  • 1 Tbls Ayam light sweet chilli sauce
  • Salt & Pepper
Instructions
  1. Before cooking, prepare the Capsicums & onion and place into a container

  2. Add garlic, salt, pepper & 2 tsp olive oil, mix well.

  3. On our Greenplate® hotplate, add 2 tsp oil and cook the beef sausages.

  4. Once half way cooked, add onion & Capsicum mix, tossing for 5-6 mins, add 1 Tbls Light Sweet Chilli Sauce, and cook until Capsicums are soft. Serve with sausages and a crisp green salad.

Yummy Marinated Beef Strips

 

Greek Marinated Beef Strips with Greek Style Salad
Ingredients
  • 125 gms Greek marinated strips Coles brand
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 20 gms low fat feta
  • 1 packet bagel crisps 25gms
  • 1 tbls balsamic glaze
  • 2 cups Spinach
  • 30 gms Red onion sliced
  • 60 gms Cherry tomato sliced
  • 2 Baby cucumbers sliced
Instructions
  1. Turn on the Greenplate® BBQ ensuring its nice and hot before adding meat

  2. Place the Greek Marinated Strip onto our hotplate and cook for approximately 3-4 minutes

  3. Have the salad ready on the plate to add your delicious marinated beef

Corn, Pea & Pumpkin Fritters

Hot plate cooking need not be just meat sausages or burgers. It’s easy to make delicious breakfast or light lunch fritters too.
Make the batter up in a “shaker bottle” pop a lid on and transport it in your esky. t’s easy to pour straight from the container. No mess, no fuss.

 

Corn Pea & Pumpkin Fritters
Makes 13
Ingredients
  • 300 gms cooked mashed pumpkin
  • 4 Tbls self raising flour
  • 100 gms Perfect Italiano low fat ricotta
  • 1/2 cup frozen minted peas defrosted
  • 1/2 cup frozen corn defrosted
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1/3 cup fresh flat leaf parsley or basil
  • Olive Oil
Instructions
  1. Mix ingredients together in a bowl and place in container for travel (shakers are a great idea - no spill)

  2. Spray the hotplate with olive oil

  3. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the hotplate and cook on one side

  4. Spray the top with olive oil and flip and cook on other side

  5. Repeat until batter is finished - these ingredients make approximately 13 fritters

Pork Stirfry in 10 minutes

Dinner in 10 minutes – what a great idea – and all on a barbecue

10 minute Pork Stir Fry
Ingredients
  • 150 gms Pork lean leg strips
  • 1 cup Broccoli Florets
  • 1/2 Red Capsicum sliced
  • 1/4 Red Onion sliced
  • 1/2 punnet Baby Corn sliced
  • 1/2 cup Mushrooms sliced
  • 1/2 - 1 clove Garlic grated
  • 1 tbls Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbls Ayam Light Sweet Chilli Sauce
  • 2 tsp Peanut Oil
Instructions
  1. Oil the hotplate, add all the veg and stir fry for 4-5 minutes 

  2. Add Pork strips, cook for a further 4 minutes

  3. Once almost cooked add grated garlic, soy & sweet chilli, toss for a further minute and serve.

  4. Sprinkle with 1 tsp black & white sesame seeds

Cheese & Spinach Quesadilla

Who says the only things you can cook on a barbecue is snags and steak – Here we have an amazingly good Cheese & Spinach Quesadilla – all on a BBQ

Cheese & Spinach Quesadilla
Ingredients
  • 2 Wattle Valley Lite Wraps
  • 25 gms Bega 50% less fat cheese
  • 1 Chicken Breast (COOKED) shredded
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1 Tbls Ayam light Sweet Chilli Sauce
  • 1 full cup Raw Baby Spinach
  • 1 tsp Olive Oil
Instructions
  1. Toss sweet chilli sauce through cooked shredded chicken, set aside.

  2. On the hotplate brush a little oil over a small area and lay one wrap down

  3. sprinkle the cheese, chicken and spinach on top of the wrap then place the second wrap on top

  4. cook until the bottom has browned and then flip the quesadilla over with a spatula, & cook the bottom side until golden brown.

Steak Sandwich – Seriously Good

Why not spice things up and make yourself a really good Steak Sanga !

Seriously Good Steak Sandwich
Who doesn't love mouthwatering caramelised onions, steak & egg squished between lightly toasted bread with garlic Aoli
Ingredients
  • 1 Tip Top Sandwich Thins
  • 100 gms Coles sizzle steak
  • 1 slice Bega country cheese 50% less fat
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 onion seasoned with herbed salt or just salt & pepper sliced thin
  • 40 gms plain non fat yoghurt
  • 1/2 grated garlic clove
  • 1 tsp djon mustard
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Lettuce & slices of tomato
Instructions
  1. Mix the yoghurt & mustard together with grated garlic and season with salt & pepper and set aside

  2. In the meantime, season the sizzle steak with any seasoning of choice, cook on both sides on the hotplate for 1 min each side

  3. Cook the onion with the egg & toast the bread on the hotplate at the same time.

Let's Put It Together
  1. Assemble by spreading the yoghurt aoli over the bread slices, and layer the steak, egg, tomato, onion & cheese inside the sandwich.
