The Balls Head Reserve in Waverton is a forested headland nature reserve situated on Balls Head in Sydney and is considered one of North Sydney’s most significant areas of urban bushland. The headland is in Port Jackson, 1.5 kilometres west of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, between Berry’s Bay to the East and Balls Head Bay to the West. A magnificent picnic spot combining natural beauty with spectacular views. The traditional name for Balls Head is Yerroulbine.

North Sydney Council commissioned Greenplate to provide retrofit kits for some of the old and tired barbecues that were no longer performing up to standard. The results can be seen from the photos. Nothing short of spectacular and from all accounts, visitors are delighted with the outcome.  “A delight to cook on compared to the old stuff” was one comment.

The upgraded systems include Energy Efficient Inbench Electric BBQ units with stainless steel retro-fit doors and custom made stainless steel benchtops, all supplied and delivered by Greenplate. Installation work was carried out by Council staff.

This is another great example of how Greenplate can work with local government to improve our community open spaces.
