Frankston City Council became the proud owner of their first Solar Barbecue recently with the completion of the installation at Wingham Park Reserve.
Wingham Park Reserve is situated next to the Karingal Place Neighbourhood Centre. This large, grassed reserve has parking nearby and a great playground suitable for all ages. The tall trees offer shade over the picnic table and park benches, where parents can relax while their children play. The new barbecue facilities will greatly enhance the park and have been warmly received by residents and visitors alike.
Frankston became the third council in Victoria to embrace Solar Barbecue Technology and the trend towards cleaner, greener, more efficient assets for Public Open Space. A huge Kudos and thank you to the team at Frankston for delivering another great project!
