Project Overview

Greenplate is proud to have partnered with Moreton Bay City Council to enhance Pine Hills Park in Arana Hills with our innovative Single Standalone Solar BBQ System. This project reflects our commitment to providing sustainable and eco-friendly solutions that cater to the needs of local communities while minimizing environmental impact.

About Pine Hills Park, Arana Hills

Nestled in the heart of Arana Hills, Pine Hills Park is a vibrant community space known for its lush greenery and inviting recreational facilities. The park is a beloved destination for families. It features an expansive space, modern playground equipment, and well-maintained pathways and picnic facilities, making it a perfect spot for gatherings and outdoor activities.

The addition of the Greenplate BBQ system further enhances the park’s appeal by providing a convenient and environmentally friendly cooking option.

Project Scope and Implementation

In response to Moreton Bay City Council’s vision for an off-grid, sustainable solution, Greenplate delivered a comprehensive installation of our Single Standalone Solar BBQ System. Our approach involved several key steps to ensure seamless integration and functionality:

  1. Solar Module Installation:
    • The solar modules were carefully mounted on the shelter’s roof above the BBQ area. These high-efficiency solar panels are designed to capture maximum sunlight, even on overcast days, ensuring a reliable power supply.
  2. Battery System:
    • The solar energy collected by the panels is stored in a state-of-the-art battery system. This system is engineered to provide consistent power to the Greenplate DC Inbench BBQ, enabling park visitors to enjoy cooking facilities without relying on the main electrical grid.
  3. Greenplate DC Inbench BBQ:
    • Our BBQ unit is specially designed to operate efficiently on solar power. It delivers a robust cooking performance while being energy-efficient, making it an ideal choice for off-grid installations like Pine Hills Park.
  4. Sustainable Design:
    • The installation aligns with Greenplate’s commitment to sustainability. By harnessing solar power, the BBQ system reduces carbon emissions and operational costs, making it a greener and more economical solution for the community.

Enhanced Community Facilities

In addition to the new BBQ system, Pine Hills Park has undergone significant upgrades to its facilities:

  • Upgraded Playground Equipment:
    • The park now boasts modern, safe, and engaging play areas that cater to children of all ages. These upgrades encourage physical activity and provide a fun environment for families.
  • Improved Picnic Areas:
    • New and improved picnic shelters and seating areas have been added, offering comfortable spaces for visitors to relax and enjoy their meals. These enhancements promote social interaction and make the park a more inviting destination.

Conclusion

The installation of Greenplate’s Single Standalone Solar BBQ System at Pine Hills Park is a testament to Moreton Bay City Council’s commitment to sustainable development and community well-being. Greenplate is privileged to be able to contribute to this initiative, providing a renewable energy solution that enhances the park’s amenities while preserving the environment.
