Matilda BBQ

Woodenbong Recreation Reserve, Kyogle Council NSW
The new Matilda Single BBQ System was recently installed at Woodenbong Reserve for Kyogle Council in Northern New South Wales. The council sought an energy efficient electric alternative to the outdated wood-fired BBQ system, resulting in the installation of the Greenplate Matilda BBQ and new shelter, which are now positioned 20 meters from the original site adjacent to the swimming pool.
Woodenbong Reserve is a popular rest stop for travellers commuting through Beaudesert en route to Lismore, Coffs Harbour, and other southern New South Wales destinations. Families frequently visit the reserve, attracted by the nearby playground and pool. Furthermore, there is a local campground that allows overnight stays. Since the Matilda BBQ System was installed, it has been well-received by both locals and travellers with an increase in visitors enjoying the upgraded recreational facilities.
Kyogle’s community open space projects team, with funding provided through the Government Grants Program, was responsible for the park upgrade.
