Lions Park is an expansive and welcoming public space, offering an idyllic setting for a relaxing picnic or barbecue with friends and family. Located along High Street in the suburb of Broadford Victoria the park is equipped with a range of amenities, including a modern restroom, shelter, and fully functional BBQ area.
Following the unprecedented flood event that occurred late in 2022, the Council has not only restored the BBQ area but has also undertaken an ambitious upgrade project, incorporating cutting-edge High Efficiency Greenplate Inbench BBQ Systems and new access doors. The council has spared no effort in ensuring that Lions Park remains an enjoyable and safe place for all visitors, and this upgrade stands as a testament to its commitment.
The addition of a sleek and sturdy stainless steel bench top serves as the final flourish on this project. As the Council continues to prioritize the rehabilitation of parks affected by the flood, many more similar projects are expected to follow in the council area, demonstrating its unwavering dedication to the welfare of its citizens.
