Inbench Electric BBQ, Eco BBQ Cabinet
Government
Tweed Shire Council, Murwillumbah, New South Wales
Project Overview
Greenplate® was engaged by landscape contractor LD Total to supply a premium public BBQ solution as part of the revitalisation works at Budd Park, located in the heart of Murwillumbah, NSW. Situated along the scenic banks of the Tweed River, Budd Park is a popular destination for both locals and visitors, offering open green space, picnic areas, and riverside walking tracks. The park upgrade aimed to improve community amenities and enhance the usability of this high-traffic public space.
To meet the project’s requirements, Greenplate® supplied a Double Eco BBQ Cabinet, featuring two energy-efficient electric BBQ hotplates housed within a robust, weather-resistant cabinet. The unit was finished in a Signal Black powdercoat, complementing the surrounding landscaping and contemporary park furniture.
A key feature of this installation was the inclusion of rear access doors, allowing maintenance and cleaning teams to safely access the internal controls from the back of the unit. This configuration ensures a clean, seamless front façade for park users while improving operational efficiency for council teams.
As with all Greenplate® products, the Eco BBQ Cabinet supplied to Budd Park is DDA-compliant, designed for ease of access and use by all members of the community. The electric BBQ system inside delivers fast, safe, and reliable cooking performance with significantly reduced power consumption, contributing to long-term sustainability goals for Tweed Shire Council.
