City of Onkaparinga

The $2.2 Million nature-based play space opened in June 2020. The reserve has been designed for people of all ages and abilities and City of Onkaparinga Mayor, Erin Thompson, said “This will be a fantastic drawcard for the region. The new Playspace will be fantastic for families in Onkaparinga and beyond”.

Peter Semple Landscape Architects  designed the new reserve and LCS Landscapes were charged with the project delivery. Greenplate are proud to have been selected to supply three of our Equal Access Double BBQ systems. These BBQs will provide the ultimate in cooking experience for the expected large crowds and provide wheelchair access to the cooking plate on all four sides of each system. The spectacular play area includes a fully fenced junior playground and for the older kids, a double flying fox, rope challenge and multiple climbing nets and slides await!

Scattered through the park is a selection of amazing artwork by local Ngarrindjeri, Kaurna and Yankunytjatjara artist Allan Sumner as a tribute to the importance of this site to the Kaurna People.

Wilfred Taylor Reserve is located on the corner of Wheatsheaf and States Roads in Morphett Vale SA.
